Guru Nanak Dev Teachings ( Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji ) 

Salutation to the Supersoul, Salutation to the soul. May we attain cosmic Bliss, Samadhi, peace, contentment. May we establish in the stage of perfect joy,Samadhi,peace.

Note : Explanation is done by intellect of my body which is 36 years old. If  it is not liked by anyone other intellect please forgive me. I wrote all truth as per Gyana I attained in my inner journey. 

ੴ सति नामु करता पुरखु निरभउ निरवैरु अकाल मूरति अजूनी सैभं गुर प्रसादि ॥जपु ॥आदि सचु जुगादि सचु ॥है भी सचु नानक होसी भी सचु ॥१॥सोचै सोचि न होवई जे सोची लख वार ॥चुपै चुप न होवई जे लाइ रहा लिव तार ॥भुखिआ भुख न उतरी जे बंना पुरीआ भार ॥सहस सिआणपा लख होहि त इक न चलै नालि ॥

Truth is One – Ek Onkar – One inner sound, Saint describe it Om , Ek onkar, Kun, Ong, bell sound but the inner Naad is the house of my supreme Lord. Recite holy name of Lord. After reaching there you will become fearless, you will be shed you hatred for everyone, only love will remain for all in your heart, you will attain the form and qualities of supreme, you will attain salvation, you will know thy self and supreme but all this will happen only with grace of Guru. You have to recite lord name and meditate on him contemplating on the feet of your guru with love.

From the beginning many saints are in search of truth but by thinking about Supreme millions of times, by remaining silent, by discarding all desire and renouncing everything, you can never conquer over your wondering mind. You try millions of ways to reach to supreme but nothing can take you to adobe of supreme. Then what is the way to Know about supreme, to know about truth.

किव सचिआरा होईऐ किव कूड़ै तुटै पालि ॥हुकमि रजाई चलणा नानक लिखिआ नालि ॥१॥

How a human can overwhelmed the pall of illusion. O human, it is only when you walk toward truth, and obey his command, surrender in his will and if it is in your fortune that in your present birth you will merge with truth then it will possible.

हुकमी होवनि आकार हुकमु न कहिआ जाई ॥हुकमी होवनि जीअ हुकमि मिलै वडिआई ॥

It is supreme command only all creatures are created. By his command only soul enter into being and it is only his command, he select the soul to whom he want to merge with his light else soul will be in cycle of birth and death.

हुकमी उतमु नीचु हुकमि लिखि दुख सुख पाईअहि ॥इकना हुकमी बखसीस इकि हुकमी सदा भवाईअहि ॥

By his command soul may enter into pair of pain and pleasure, rich and poor, high or low. It is his command only he like to merge the soul in his supreme soul then that soul is blessed and with his command only soul is stuck in birth and death cycle.

हुकमै अंदरि सभु को बाहरि हुकम न कोइ ॥नानक हुकमै जे बुझै त हउमै कहै न कोइ ॥२॥

Each human soul is part of supreme soul so inside each human being he is commanding; from outside no one can command any soul. Any soul who is seeker and turn his consciousness toward supreme soul can understand his command, he shed his ego and after shedding the ego individual soul can merge to supreme soul.

गावै को ताणु होवै किसै ताणु ॥गावै को दाति जाणै नीसाणु ॥गावै को गुण वडिआईआ चार ॥गावै को विदिआ विखमु वीचारु ॥गावै को साजि करे तनु खेह ॥गावै को जीअ लै फिरि देह ॥गावै को जापै दिसै दूरि ॥गावै को वेखै हादरा हदूरि ॥कथना कथी न आवै तोटि ॥कथि कथि कथी कोटी कोटि कोटि ॥

Whose soul merge with supreme soul he always sings glory of supreme and recite his name he knows the supreme power , but others ask what is that power, who recite supreme name he receive this gift of naam treasure but other only find some sing of it, who recite holy lord name he receive supreme qualities, who recite holy lord name he attain knowledge of vedas,puran, granth which is difficult for others to understand with their intellect as who connect with supreme his intellect intensify. Who recite lord name he always get decorated at lord house rest other human turn to dust, who recite lord name he only lives and merge with Lord and attain salvation, rest others are still bound in cycle of birth and death, Who recite lord name he can recognize Lord in him but for others supreme is very far, who recite he knows supreme is all pervading present everywhere. There will be shortage of words if we start to describe the qualities of supreme. His qualities will never finish , it will be going on to describe forever.

देदा दे लैदे थकि पाहि ॥ जुगा जुगंतरि खाही खाहि ॥

Many saints whose soul merge with supreme they have describe supreme adobe and written many scriptures. When one individual soul will merge with supreme then he will get tired in receiving the gift from the supreme but he will continue to give. From the past ages whomsoever has reached to this stage that saint is enjoying this bliss.

हुकमी हुकमु चलाए राहु ॥ नानक विगसै वेपरवाहु ॥३॥

After following and walking on his path, he will guide us in inner journey and take us to his adobe , once you started walking on supreme path then you will be carefree and worriless. No trouble will be occur in your path.

साचा साहिबु साचु नाइ भाखिआ भाउ अपारु ॥ आखहि मंगहि देहि देहि दाति करे दातारु ॥

Supreme is True, his name is truth, he is liberated and whomsoever ask from him to give knowledge of truth and liberation, the great giver gift him this gift.

फेरि कि अगै रखीऐ जितु दिसै दरबारु ॥ मुहौ कि बोलणु बोलीऐ जितु सुणि धरे पिआरु ॥

To see his kingdom what action should we do and what path should we follow so that we can see his adobe? There is no need to express your merging desire in words to him, he listen inner plea and bless him whomsoever ask for vision of his adobe.

 

अम्रित वेला सचु नाउ वडिआई वीचारु ॥ करमी आवै कपड़ा नदरी मोखु दुआरु ॥ नानक एवै जाणीऐ सभु आपे सचिआरु ॥४॥

In the early morning between 3 to 4am you can recite holy name of truth the supreme. You will get purify, your karma will washed and it will move toward good conduct only and then Gate of Liberation will be opened for you. If you know this and follow this teaching one day you will merge with truth.

थापिआ न जाइ कीता न होइ ॥ आपे आपि निरंजनु सोइ ॥ जिनि सेविआ तिनि पाइआ मानु ॥ नानक गावीऐ गुणी निधानु ॥

If you will force yourself to worship and meditate on him, it will never happen, You have to ask for his grace, with his grace it will only be possible that you can meditate on him, Who has served him with true heart they have attain his grace.  After attaining his grace that human only sings Supreme glory and praises.

गावीऐ सुणीऐ मनि रखीऐ भाउ ॥ दुखु परहरि सुखु घरि लै जाइ ॥ गुरमुखि नादं गुरमुखि वेदं गुरमुखि रहिआ समाई ॥ गुरु ईसरु गुरु गोरखु बरमा गुरु पारबती माई ॥ जे हउ जाणा आखा नाही कहणा कथनु न जाई ॥

Recite his name, listen his Kirtan (praises)  and recitation should be continue in mind all the time, by following this path the pair of pain and pleasure will be turn same, no pain will affect you, You will enter into bliss zone of my lord and you will be able to hear inner Naad and your intellect will intensify, you will be able to understand all vedas teachings. You will understand that Guru is God, Guru is Brahma, Guru is Shakti Parvati; your mother. Whomsoever has reached to supreme adobe he cannot describe him in words.

गुरा इक देहि बुझाई ॥ सभना जीआ का इकु दाता सो मै विसरि न जाई ॥५॥ तीरथि नावा जे तिसु भावा विणु भाणे कि नाइ करी ॥ जेती सिरठि उपाई वेखा विणु करमा कि मिलै लई ॥ मति विचि रतन जवाहर माणिक जे इक गुर की सिख सुणी ॥ गुरा इक देहि बुझाई ॥ सभना जीआ का इकु दाता सो मै विसरि न जाई ॥६॥

It is guru grace whose has given me this intellect that I could understand God is One. Everyone belong to him, There is one only One lord for all , and I never want to separate from the truth now.  If he selected me then he will give me holy bath to get salvation, else by taking holy bath at pilgrim will not help me attain salvation. Only salvation is possible with Good conduct. Following Good conduct if you walk on teaching of Guru then within your body you will find highest pleasure. Now you seek all worldly pleasure by collecting possession, jewelry, diamond and money but once you follow guru teaching you will find the True pleasure which is above of all worldly pleasure. Guru has taught me this path then I merge with truth, Now I never want to separate from this Truth. He is universal Truth, He has created all. He is one Lord of all of us.

जे जुग चारे आरजा होर दसूणी होइ ॥ नवा खंडा विचि जाणीऐ नालि चलै सभु कोइ ॥ चंगा नाउ रखाइ कै जसु कीरति जगि लेइ ॥ जे तिसु नदरि न आवई त वात न पुछै के ॥ कीटा अंदरि कीटु करि दोसी दोसु धरे ॥ नानक निरगुणि गुणु करे गुणवंतिआ गुणु दे ॥ तेहा कोइ न सुझई जि तिसु गुणु कोइ करे ॥७॥

Even if you live for long ages, acquire fame all around the world, even all world praise you for your good name, fame and richness but if Lord has not shower his grace on you and you have not achieved the highest goal of human life which is to merge individual soul to supreme then there will be no use of all this worldly earnings. You will be remain dirty with sins and under the cycle of birth and rebirth fighting with sufferings. But if you follow my lord he will fill up with divine qualities by removing your all immoral qualities and you will merge with truth by obtaining celestial qualities. After attaining divine qualities he never think about anyone else, he only worship you.

सुणिऐ सिध पीर सुरि नाथ ॥ सुणिऐ धरति धवल आकास ॥ सुणिऐ दीप लोअ पाताल ॥ सुणिऐ पोहि न सकै कालु ॥ नानक भगता सदा विगासु ॥ सुणिऐ दूख पाप का नासु ॥८॥ सुणिऐ ईसरु बरमा इंदु ॥ सुणिऐ मुखि सालाहण मंदु ॥ सुणिऐ जोग जुगति तनि भेद ॥ सुणिऐ सासत सिम्रिति वेद ॥ नानक भगता सदा विगासु ॥ सुणिऐ दूख पाप का नासु ॥९॥ सुणिऐ सतु संतोखु गिआनु ॥ सुणिऐ अठसठि का इसनानु ॥ सुणिऐ पड़ि पड़ि पावहि मानु ॥ सुणिऐ लागै सहजि धिआनु ॥ नानक भगता सदा विगासु ॥ सुणिऐ दूख पाप का नासु ॥१०॥ सुणिऐ सरा गुणा के गाह ॥ सुणिऐ सेख पीर पातिसाह ॥ सुणिऐ अंधे पावहि राहु ॥ सुणिऐ हाथ होवै असगाहु ॥ नानक भगता सदा विगासु ॥ सुणिऐ दूख पाप का नासु ॥११॥

Guru Nanak Dev ji describe whomsoever follow the supreme path they attain bliss stage, all universe earth,sky, lands, creature all are bounded. To attain liberation they need to listen supreme command.

All spiritual teacher, sages, yogic masters following supreme path, Earth & white sky also listening his glory, all island, lands & descent listen supreme glory, whomsoever is connected to listen supreme glory , death will not be painful for him. The devotees of supreme will attain bliss. By listening his glory you will get clean, your sins will be wash and pain will not affect you attaining supreme adobe, Shiva, Brahma and Indra also listening supreme glory, After attaining supreme adobe the individual soul sing his praises, by listening his glory you will become able to perform  Yoga and you will know secret of Yoga, By listening his glory you will be able to understand all vedas, your intellect will intensify, His follower will always stay in bliss. By following supreme path the follower can overcome with his pains and cleans his sins, by following supreme path follower attain truth, contentment and attain knowledge. By following supreme path the follower get the fruit of 68 holy bath places at one place of lord, by following supreme path you will understand all and then you will feel proud to find yourself connected to of truth, by following supreme path slowly you will enter into deep zone of meditation where a true follower merge with truth and enjoy the bliss. By following him your sorrows and sins will be moved away from you, following him you will attain many qualities, spiritual teacher, Emperors, Rich and high status people all listen his glory, Even if a blind follow his path will reach to destiny, By following him what is impossible to do will become possible, His follower always remain in bliss. His path remove all sins and take away all pains.

मंने की गति कही न जाइ ॥ जे को कहै पिछै पछुताइ ॥ कागदि कलम न लिखणहारु ॥ मंने का बहि करनि वीचारु ॥ ऐसा नामु निरंजनु होइ ॥ जे को मंनि जाणै मनि कोइ ॥१२॥ मंनै सुरति होवै मनि बुधि ॥ मंनै सगल भवण की सुधि ॥ मंनै मुहि चोटा ना खाइ ॥मंनै जम कै साथि न जाइ ॥ जे को मंनि जाणै मनि कोइ ॥१३॥ मंनै मारगि ठाक न पाइ ॥ मंनै पति सिउ परगटु जाइ ॥ मंनै मगु न चलै पंथु ॥ मंनै धरम सेती सनबंधु ॥ ऐसा नामु निरंजनु होइ ॥ जे को मंनि जाणै मनि कोइ ॥१४॥ मंनै पावहि मोखु दुआरु ॥ मंनै परवारै साधारु ॥ मंनै तरै तारे गुरु सिख ॥ मंनै नानक भवहि न भिख ॥ ऐसा नामु निरंजनु होइ ॥ जे को मंनि जाणै मनि कोइ ॥१५॥

Guru Nanak Dev Ji describe one state of the mind which is not conquered yet and then other state of mind when it do not wonder , meditate on lord.

This mind is always wondering, if anyone follow the wondered mind desire then he will be regret later. There is no pen,paper or writer who can describe about supreme. Your mind can never think about Supreme qualities and about his adobe .Supreme name recitation will conquer your mind and a still mind with devotion can know about Supreme. The one who start to walk on this path he believes on this. After conquering his mind his intellect intensify. He gains all knowledge of universe. Once he conquer his mind he do not suffer more. He becomes fearless even he lost the fear of death as well. This truth only he understand who walk on this path. After conquering mind he do not find obstacles in his path. Who conquered the mind lord show him his vision, then he do not follow worldly religions. In his inner journey he has found his own Dharma(religion) which is recitation and meditation on the Surpeme; This mind is conquered only by reciting lord name and the one who walk on this path believe on this fact only. After conquering mind he can reach to Liberation, after knowing liberation path he help to the near one to whom he knows. After conquering mind he come across from this worldly ocean with the grace of Guru after following guru teachings. Who conquer his mind he get free from cycle of birth and death. This is the path to reach to Lord adobe – Recitation of Holy name. Who recite his name with faith and love , he only understand the value of it.

May the reader eyes attain happiness and knowledge by reading my writings. May the seeker attain answer to his question and doubt by reading this. May we all attain peace & goal of human life to unite our soul to supersoul.
